[John Vanbiesbrouck], the Rangers’ goalie who severely cut his left wrist on June 13 when the glass top of a coffee table at his home in Rye, N.Y., broke under his weight, said yesterday he would report to Three Rivers, Quebec, on Sept. 10 when the Rangers begin preseason training. After the 24-year-old goalie underwent five hours of microsurgery to repair three severed tendons and a sliced nerve, the team announced he was not expected back for four to six months.
